Part of one of my thumbs is green. I’m not great at it – I manage to grow 1 out of every 5 seeds I acquire – but I am getting better at hydroponics. And here’s the latest of my babies. He’s outgrowing his water cradle, and I’ll be putting the young one in a nice, big pot very soon. (Honestly, he should’ve been put in a pot about 2 weeks ago… but he still looks great- about a foot tall already!) Till then, I’m going to try to grab some more interesting underwater root photos.
A very quick shot from a friend’s apartment in the city after an intense thunderstorm & hail shower. This is a very experimental shot using HDR. I’m pleased with the effect on parts of the photo and recognize that some tweaking is necessary for this photo to really look nice. I’m low on time for hobbies these days, but wanted to share something. I really like the reflection of the colorful clouds in the rainwater on the roof of the building.
In case you couldn’t tell, I’m also toying around with a new theme. I’ll be changing some settings, tweaking some of the look/feel of the page, and once I get it settled, I’ll be writing a new theme review and adding a link to the page where you can download the theme.
PS- It’s August! Whoa, there, summer. Slow your roll; I’m not done with you yet!
I’m not sorry to bombard the site with sky photos. There are just too many beautiful evenings! Go out and enjoy them while the weather lasts. And to those who live at the beach (oh, you know who): don’t think I’m not coming down to the boardwalk and crashing at your place. <3
I’m not one for moss, but I liked the green & yellow in this photo.
Relaxing weekend on the 4th of July led me to this beautiful porch in the Thimble Islands of Connecticut.
