A World Without Flowers

A last look, for now, at the rose.
People from a world without flowers would think we must be mad with joy the whole time to have such things about us.

Softer Red
Softer play with the same bouquet. Let a dozen roses never go to waste.
But he that dares not grasp the thorn,
Should never crave the rose.

Glamorous Flowers
More flowers with a bit of glam added in in post. If only I could translate the sweet smell of these flowers through the picture. Happy Monday!
Pink Pretties
Tell me, doves. Are you tired of pink yet? I’m not a person that tends to wear a lot of pink, but I can appreciate it when it’s just hanging out on a table or in the garden. Fresh flowers are definitely one of my favorite things about spring and summer.
Pretty Pollen
I love it when the blossoms on the trees look like bunches of cotton candy that I just want to shake off the branches and nom on when I’m on my way to work. I don’t love how much my nose rebels against the beauty. Honestly. It looks like a tree punched me in the face with its sweet sweet blossomy branches.
I’ve even tried using local honey in my tea. I think that remedy works well for the start of allergy season; rather than the onslaught against my sinuses going on this past week.
One of these years I’ll make it down to the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC.
Are there places around you that are blossoming? This road is right off of Wooster Square in New Haven, CT. There’s about 4 days that you can go and see the trees in full bloom, lining the street.
Glamour Flowers
Bunch of flowers in the garden. A little bit of photoshop fun makes it a little more glittery.
Pokey Flowers Up Close
Pokey flower all up in your grill! Did I mention that I really like these flowers?
Garden Variety
Flowers are great. Especially after a long, dark, cold winter. This photo was shot in Boston, MA.
